A pair of shoes that cost a staggering $17 million USD are set to be created in Dubai. The Passion Diamond stilettos, made from gold and encrusted with diamonds, have been dubbed as ?the world?s most expensive? and only one pair will be made in the world. The were the brainchild of UAE-based brand Jada Dubai in collaboration with Passion Jewelers. The previous record holder was a $15.1 million?pair made by British designer Debbie Wingham. ?We wanted to create a piece that is truly unique in the world using very rare diamonds,? said Maria Majari, co-founder and creative director of Jada Dubai. The Passion Diamond Shoe is currently the world’s most expensive shoe. It’s valued at $17 million. It was launched recently at UAE. The footwear was put together in a period of nine months, featuring hundreds of diamonds, together with two imposing D-flawless diamonds of 15 carats each.
