10 Ways To Be The Best Bridesmaid Ever

Being a bridesmaid is both an honour and a job. But once you say yes to the bridesmaid dress, you’ve got a duty to make the bride happy and look great while doing it.

It is exciting to have a role in someone’s wedding and be there for the whole ride. But having this role comes with a lot of preparation, organisation, and responsibilities.

Below is 10 Ways To Be The Best Bridesmaid Ever.

Accept the dress and the colour scheme: Remember, the wedding is not about you. It is about the bride; and if you are made to wear a dress that you wouldn’t typically wear, ever and the colour scheme you will need to accept.

Be there to listen: Wedding planning brings all sorts of stresses, so you need to be the calm in the midst of the madness. Be the bride’s person to vent to.

Never complain: Never complain about the money you have to spend, the effort you have to put and never ever complain about the dress.

Don’t be afraid to ask for help: When in doubt, keep in constant communication with the bride especially about the tasks that you don’t know how to do.

Stay out of drama: You wouldn’t want to get involved in drama that has nothing to do with you. If it has something to do with you try to be the bigger person and stay out of it.

Be Honest: The bride will need your honest opinions about her dress, hair, makeup and décor. When she asks for your thoughts be honest, but do it as nicely as possible.

Figure out your role early: Having constant discussions with the bride and the other bridesmaids about the roles each of you has to play, which will make tasks easier to complete.

Don’t vent to the bride: It wouldn’t be wise for you to vent out your troubles or unhappiness to the bride. If you need a shoulder to cry, its best to find someone else to vent to.

Prepare for the worst: Make sure you prepare for the worst. Whether it is a hairstyling mistake or a wardrobe malfunction. There should be an emergency kit that contains stuff like bobby and safety pins.
