The Kalabari is a tribe in Rivers state, Nigeria. The wedding ceremony of this tribe is really beautiful and unique.
Nigerian weddings are so beautiful. One beautiful moment during Kalabari weddings is the Bibife. During this moment, the bride is given a spoon out of the array of food displayed while she pretends to eat. She id not meant to smile or eat the food till her husband drops money. The culture is that this way, she has now tasted out of all the food provided by the groom’s family and can now eat in his house.
