Former Senate Presidents, Governors Attends Wedding Of Lloyd, Son Of Ike Ekweremadu As He Officially Ties Knot With His Beloved, Tiffany

Nigerian politicians from different political parties on Saturday graced the wedding of Lloyd, son of Ike Ekweremadu, former deputy senate president.

Lloyd Ekweremadu got married to his heartthrob, Tiffany, at the Basilica of Grace Anglican Church, Gudu district, Abuja.

The wedding was attended by several politicians, including Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 elections; Benjamin Kalu, deputy speaker; Dino Melaye, a former senator; and David Umahi, former Ebonyi governor, among others.

Three former senate presidents — Anyim Pius Anyim, David Mark and Bukola Saraki — were also in attendance.

Peter Mbah, governor of Enugu, recently appointed Lloyd as a commissioner in the state.

The wedding ceremony is coming three months after the former senate president and his wife, Beatrice, were convicted in the United Kingdom over organ trafficking.

Ekweremadu was sentenced to nine years and eight months in prison, while his wife got four years and six months.

According to the UK police, the Ekweremadus took an alleged kidney donor to the country in order to harvest his organ for their ailing daughter.

Meanwhile, Joe Igbokwe slams Ekweremadu’s son over the elaborate wedding ceremony.

Joe Igbokwe criticized the former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu’s son, Lloyd, for having an elaborate wedding event in the absence of his parents, who are currently in prison in the United Kingdom.

Recalling Ike Ekweremadu and his wife’s ordeal in relation to their son’s wedding ceremony, Igbokwe said: “If I were to be Ekweremmadu’s son I would not have staged this elaborate wedding ceremony with my father and mother in prison.

“I would have done a low-key marriage ceremony and waited till my parents are free. This generation scares me stiff,” he added.
