PGA Masters Champion Mike Weir, 53, Ties The Knot With Bachelor Alum Michelle Money In Hawaii Wedding

On Sunday, November 19, The PGA golfer Mike Weir, 53, and TV Personality Michelle Money, 43, tied the knot in an oceanside wedding ceremony in Hawaii.

For their special day, Mike Weir and Michelle Money wanted to keep the celebration “intimate” with their three daughters Elle, Lili, and Brielle, who officiated the couple’s nuptials, plus Weir’s parents, Money’s mom, and their best friends, George and Linnea Roberts.

The duo’s wedding week festivities included a family golf day at Nenea Golf Club along with snorkeling and hiking during the group’s stay on the Big Island.

The couple first met by chance in 2016.

Michelle Money shared their love story: “I was walking into a restaurant with my daughter, and he happened to be walking out with a group of friends. I didn’t see him, but apparently, he saw me and asked his friends if any of them knew me.

They happened to know a mutual friend who ended up giving Mike my number. We went on our first date and never looked back! I didn’t find out until months later that after he saw me at that restaurant for the first time, he couldn’t stop thinking about me, so he left his friend’s house and drove back to the restaurant to try and find me, but I had already left!”

“We spent the first five years of our relationship with the understanding that we would never get married,” she says.

“He was my forever boyfriend and vice versa. After my daughter Brielle got into a really bad longboarding accident where she almost lost her life, I started seeing things differently.”

“It became so clear to me that Mike was more to me than just a forever boyfriend. He was the most incredible support to me and Brielle through the hardest time of my life. It brought us closer together in a way I had never experienced, and marriage seemed like a beautiful commitment that I wanted to make to him. Now we can’t believe we considered not getting married. He truly is the love of my life!”

Weir popped the question to Money in January during a trip to New Zealand. “We took a helicopter to the top of a glacier where the most incredible glacier lake was. He got down on a knee and asked me to marry him there on the glacier. It was incredible.”

During the ceremony which took place on Sunday, Weir and Money exchanged handwritten vows before celebrating with their family and friends with a dinner of truffle burrata caprese, Bolognese, roasted fresh fish Tuscan steak, and roasted vegetables.
