Everyone has the dream of dating Mr right and sometimes romantic novels, and social media have made the standard really high, making it a bit difficult to be sure of what to look out for.
To save you from looking out for things you want, how about you look out for things you don’t want to see. Basically, things like these are called Red Flags.
These are basic signs that a woman should look out for in a man when in a relationship or about to get in one.
1) A man that is Authoritative: There is a thin line between being intentionally caring and being controlling. A man that intentionally cares will listen and take his time to understand, but any man that dictates, and forces his opinion is controlling. A man that dictates what you should do and who to talk to is a big bold Red Flag.
2) A man that is Inattentive: Every woman loves just the right amount of attention, the one that is less than obsession and more of ‘I hear you’ and ‘I see you’ Not a man that is always busy doing and focusing on everything but you and the relationship. This is not just a red flag, he is a combination of red flags because a relationship cannot work if two people do not agree on working together.
3) Verbal /Physical Abuse: This is where it gets messy because sometimes some people find it difficult to walk away from such relationships and some even walk into it on the basis of ‘I can change him’. Any man that raises his hand or voice on a woman is liable to commit murder because a woman is obviously more fragile than a man and it’s even worse if the man constantly disrespects her by hurling insults at her. This is the biggest of Red Flags because this one actually leads to the grave in some occasions
4) Gaslighting: There’s bound to be issues and misunderstandings at some point in relationships but it takes mature and selfless people to admit when they’re wrong and then it takes a MAN swimming in a pool of Red Flags to by pass the situation and blame it on you. It’s even worse when he’s the one at fault.
5) Promiscuous In Nature : Any man that cannot “tame his dog “ is a carnival of red flags. He would get excited at the sight of any woman in skirt, It shows that he is not disciplined and would eventually cheat and make a messy situation out of it.
