On Saturday Al Roker, 69 and the ABC News correspondent and anchor Deborah Roberts marked 28 years of marriage and documented the occasion by sharing lovely photos from throughout the years on their social media.
Roker posted images of him and his wife Roberts on Instagram, starting with snaps from the couple’s wedding day. One showed Roker in a tuxedo and his wife in a white dress, veil and long white gloves, another had Roberts feeding Roker a piece of wedding cake and a third picture captured the two hand-in-hand smiling directly at the camera.
He also posted photos of the couple’s children in their younger years, the couple visiting the White House at Christmastime and posing with former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama, as well as a snap of the whole family — including dog Pepper — in their holiday pajamas.
Roker and Roberts first met at NBC in 1990 and they both share two children, Leila and Nicholas. Roker also has a daughter named Courtney from a previous marriage.
The Today star Al Roker had family on his mind when he honoured his wife Roberts in the caption for his Saturday post.
“28 years ago, @deborahrobertsabc promised to be there for better, for worse, thick and thin. Good times and bad. But the greatest gift is the family she has given me. Happy Anniversary, sweetheart,” he wrote.

Deborah Roberts, shared her own message on Instagram alongside a collection of photos of the couple during their relationship, including a fun shot of them posing next to a cake made to look like the front page of The New York Times.
Cute headlines were written in icing about the couple. One read, “NBC STARS TO MERGE DATELINE INVESTIGATES.” The couple met at NBC before Roberts later moved to ABC.
“Wow! It’s been 28 years,” she wrote in the caption of the celebratory post.
“Beginning with a few jitters, great excitement and hearts brimming with hope, we embarked on this journey. And it has been one great adventure. This last year has taught us to cherish each moment. You are mine…I am yours. And where you are, I am too. Happy anniversary my dearest. Let’s keep making memories @alroker.”
