American model Chanel Iman, 33, and NFL star Davon Godchaux, 29, have tied the knot in a beautiful wedding.
Chanel Iman and Davon Godchaux shared the joyful news of their wedding on Tuesday via a joint Instagram post which featured video highlights of their glamorous nuptials. They wrote in the caption of their post; “A moment we both been waiting for.”
In another post which Chanel Iman shared, she wrote:
“Finally I am officially Chanel Iman Godchaux 🎉 so much to celebrate and be grateful for 🙏🏽 together we will continue to move mountains and love each other through thick and thin ❤️ we are forever family. I love you so much Davon 💍💎 can’t wait for what the future holds together @chauxdown”
In April 2022, the couple made their relationship official via an Instagram post. In May 2023, they announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post that featured photos from the romantic proposal. The athlete popped the question during a trip to Capri, Italy, getting down on one knee with a sweeping sea view as the backdrop.
He presented Chanel Iman with a dazzling engagement ring featuring a rectangular diamond on a single band, which she showed off in the photos.
“The blessings keep pouring, grateful for this new chapter and soon to be married and a forever to go ♾️📍Capri , Italy 🇮🇹 💍💎,” the duo captioned the post.
In a follow-up Instagram post reflecting on the happy moment, Godchaux admitted that he was “nervous as hell” leading up to the proposal.
“I never thought I’ll be getting down on one knee but LOVE will make you do some amazing things in life!” he wrote to his followers before paying tribute to Iman.
“Chanel, I love you so much and I wouldn’t have rather spend this moment with no one else by my side!” he continued. “From the moment we met, I knew it was something about you and how much you value having a FAMILY that was really important to me! We are in this together and will always be, I love you from the bottom of my heart! My love, My fiancé, My everything!! Soon to be my wife!”
The couple’s engagement came weeks after they announced some other big news: they had a baby on the way. On May 3, 2023, in an Instagram post, Iman and Godchaux revealed that they were expecting their first child together.
“Our family is growing and we are so excited to meet our new little one 👼🏽,” they wrote at the time, alongside photos from a maternity shoot.
They welcomed their baby Capri Summer Godchaux on September 19.
