Married wrestling stars CJ Perry and Miroslav are going their separate ways after seven years of marriage.
According to a statement first revealed by TMZ, CJ Perry and Miro – who both previously performed under the WWE banner – have split up.
The couple tied the knot in 2016 and have been married for the last seven years, but their relationship has reportedly been on-off.
TMZ report that they broke up for good in the winter of 2023 and have now publicly confirmed they are no longer together, though neither have yet filed for divorce.
In a statement, Perry said: ‘Miro and I have made the difficult decision to separate after many wonderful years together, and have decided to move on as friends, and hopefully onscreen characters somewhere down the road.’
It is also reported that there was no cheating or fighting involved, but simply that the two wrestling stars have grown apart over time.
It may create an awkward on-screen dynamic, though, with the pair also married in the ring when they perform with All-Elite Wrestling.
Miro – real name Miroslav Barnyashev – is known as Rusev and the pair met in WWE, where they first married, before moving across to AEW after.
Miro is a former AEW TNT and a three-time WWE United States champion.
The pair are still pictured together in plenty of social media snaps, including a trip to see Taylor Swift alongside fellow wrestling icon Sheamus last summer.
