The emirs of Kano and Bichi, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero and Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero, saw their children tie the knot in a beautiful wedding.
The wedding fatiha of the Emirs’ children was attended by dignitaries, including the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, and the Deputy President of the Senate, Jibrin Barau.
This was contained in a statement by the Media office of the Senate President.
Other dignitaries who graced the event, according to the statement which took place at the Emir’s Palace, Kofar Kudu, Kano, included the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi; President of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote and the former governor of Kano State, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, among others.
The wedding was between Sanusi Aminu Bayero (Khalifa) and Rumanah Nasir Bayero (Ummi).
The Deputy Governor of Kano State, Aminu Abdulsalam, who is also the Dan Iyan Kano, Alhaji Ahmad Ado Bayero, stood as the representatives of the groom and the bride, respectively.
