Co-stars Helen George and Jack Ashton have split after seven years together.
The couple, who share two daughters, first met on the set on the BBC period drama. Helen plays Nurse Trixie Franklin, who’s still on the show and set to appear in the upcoming 13th season, while Jack left back in 2018, his character Tom Hereward leaving for Papua New Guinea.

The exes’ statement reads: “Some months ago, we separated. Our two beautiful girls remain the focus and I respectfully ask for privacy for this next chapter.”
A source said that that split has been amicable, and their priority remains their two girls.
“Helen and Jack’s decision to end their relationship has been amicable, and no one else is involved,” the source explained, “They have just grown apart as a couple. Until now, only their closest friends and family have known what is going on, but in recent weeks it has been shared more widely.
“They are both incredibly committed to working together to be the best parents they can for their two daughters.”
Their eldest, Wren, was born in 2017, and followed by Lark in 2021.
