Lanre Ogunyemi and his wife Ruth Oluwayemisi have marked their 30th wedding anniversary. Their 30 years of marriage has been a journey of mercy, grace and benevolence.
On June 4th, Lanre Ogunyemi and Ruth Oluwayemisi celebrated their marriage of 30 years. In honour of this milestone, they took to social media to share lovely pictures of themselves.
On his Instagram page, Lanre Ogunyemi wrote:
WE GLORIFY GOD AND THANK HIM FOR 30 YEARS OF MERCY, GRACE AND BENEVOLENCE.
Our 30th wedding anniversary is another great opportunity to proclaim and celebrate God’s goodness. Ruth Oluwayemisi and I are thankful to you, Yahweh, for the joy and happiness that we have shared for the past thirty years by your help.
To your glory Lord, these years have been good and filled with your infinite mercy and recurrent benevolence. We praise you God for sustaining us. For everything in our life we say thank you Father.
How else can we describe and appreciate your enduring peace and endless blessings of thirty years going ? How do we thank you Lord for all round preservation and provisions? How can we deeply show our level of mindfulness and gratefulness for your ever present help and strong cover in turbulent moments ?
We owe this knot to your permission and its thriving bliss to your grace. Thank you Lord for your visible presence, divine interventions, amazing favour and unceasing benevolence.
We cannot quantify your faithfulness over the years and the immeasurable protection you have bestowed upon our family.
There is every cause and reason to appreciate your Lordship which has been our propelling strength and guiding light.
If we have a thousand tongues, it certainly won’t sing your praises or glorify your name enough.
In our thoughtfulness, we bring our token of gratitude and thanksgiving, believing that in your lovingkindness, you will graciously accept it.
Gracious God, be thou exalted and magnified now and forevermore.
With our heart full of gratitude, we say Hosannah to you Jehovah, for the generous mercy and countless blessings of the last thirty years from your throne of grace. We give honour, adoration and glory to your Matchless and Majestic name.
Bless and keep us on for so many more years to witness several wedding anniversaries to come IJMN.
Lanre Ogunyemi also penned a sweet note to his lovely wife Ruth. He appreciated her for the great personality which she possesses.
He wrote:
My dearest wife, Where do I begin from ? It’s been 30 years o. Thirty solid years of managing me and nurturing this family.
You’re a champion, a great friend, sister, partner, mother and soulmate, all rolled into one. You have been an amazing spouse and I couldn’t have asked for any other woman from God.
Through thick and thin, you kept the family going and together, doing so painstakingly and without any iota of discomfort. At every time and moment, you ensured that no space was left uncovered.
Yemisi, you are a loving and virtuous woman in every sense of the word, the type every man would pray for. Your love for God and your family is resolute, deep and unimaginable.
You would go any length to sacrifice your all for the household you hold so dear to your heart. You are a woman of strong heart and good courage who has absolute trust in God.
Your putting up with the good and tough times and remaining unruffled is what has kept strengthening and promoting my resolve to keep striving for greater heights.
In our incredible journey,we have weathered storms together.
You are a wonderful wife, my best friend and support system. I wholeheartedly cherish you. Thanks be to God for bringing us together. I thank Him for making you my wife and carrying us through the years.
I appreciate who you are and all that you do. I can keep going on and on about how good and loving you are and how great it is being married to you.

Lanre Ogunyemi started early and has always been a Progressive. He was a member of the defunct Social Democratic Party (SDP). He was also a member of the National Centre Party of Nigeria (NCPN), going on to become a foundling member of the Alliance for Democracy (AD).
From AD through Action Congress (AC) to Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and APC, Lanre Ogunyemi remained steadfast to the progressive ideals.
Lanre Ogunyemi’s political work experience started at Ojo Local Goverment where he served as Personal Assistant (Administration) to the Late former Council Chairman, Dr. Solomon Akin-Aina.
From there, Lanre Ogunyemi became the state Secretary of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) Lagos, serving between 1999 and 2003.
He was then appointed the Special Adviser on Political Affairs to the former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Otunba Olufemi Pedro from June 2003 till March 2007 when he was redeployed to the Governor’s office.
