While workers of the United States enjoy the Labor Day holiday weekend, Lily Collins is celebrating her second wedding anniversary with Charlie McDowell.
The 34-year-old actress and daughter of singer Phil Collins tied the knot with the 40-year-old filmmaker and son of Malcolm McDowell and Mary Steenburgen on September 4, 2021, at Dunton Hot Springs, Colorado.
Collins took to Instagram on Sunday, sharing snaps from her wedding along with a heartfelt message to her husband.
‘Two years today and a lifetime to come. I remember this moment, this day, this excitement as vividly as if it were yesterday,’ Collins began.
‘And I feel the love, the support, and the magic 100 times more. I adore you and I couldn’t be more grateful to be your other half in life and in love,’ she continued.
‘You make me a stronger, bolder, and brighter human. Thank you for being the greatest partner I could ever imagine and for making me smile like no other,’ she added.
‘Here’s to another 365 days of memories ahead, wherever in the world we find ourselves,’ she said.
‘I’d walk into the unknown with you any day and every day. With you by my side, it’s always an epic adventure…’ the actress concluded.
McDowell responded in a comment, stating, ‘Luckiest guy in the world,’ with two red heart emojis, while Selena Gomez commented, ‘My heart,’ and, ‘Goals.’
She also took to her Instagram story to thank various people for the part they played in their wedding.
Collins thanked designer Ralph Lauren for crafting her dress, stating, ‘Words will never do justice to how I felt in this. I will treasure it forever. And ever.’
McDowell also shared a snap of the happy couple kissing during the reception, with a heartfelt message of his own.
‘Two years married to this beautiful soul. I’m grateful for every moment spent with you @lilyjcollins. Many more adventures ahead of us,’ he said.

Collins and McDowell were first spotted together in July 2019, and it didn’t take much longer for the filmmaker to go down on one knee.
McDowell proposed in September 2020 and they tied the knot in Colorado a year later.
Collins has a number of projects in various stages of production like MaXXXine with Mia Goth and Elizabeth Debicki.
