Royal Wedding: Former Miss Moscow Ties The Knot With Malaysian King Muhammed V

Former Miss Moscow Oksana Voevodina, 25, is the new “Queen of Malaysia,” now that she is married to Malaysia’s King Muhammed V of Kelantan, 49. This follows the former beauty queen’s conversion to Islam. Voevodina is 24 years younger than her new husband who has been on the throne for two years and counting. Prior to the attainment of her new status as queen, Voevodina in an interview said “When I was at school I was a kind of bandit. I liked some skaters, bikes, BMX, guys who took part in competitions,” though she later said: “I think that the man must be the head of the family and of course shall not earn less than a woman.” The lavish royal wedding between the Russian Beauty and the King of Malaysia took place at a concert hall in the posh suburb of Barvikha in the Russian Capital on November 22. So far, the couple have not revealed how they met. The King, who is known as Yang di-Pertuan Agong, is seen wearing the Malaysian national dress while the bride wore a white wedding gown, according to the wedding pictures making round.Photo Credit: Getty
