However, the couple have now emerged stronger than ever, celebrating an impressive 22 years of marriage.
The 44-year-old ex-Brazil international and his actress wife had engaged in a series of back and forth on social media having been married for over two decades.
Their recent romantic escapade in Italy further solidified their renewed commitment to each other, with witnesses capturing the couple as they shared tender moments.

From 1997 to 1999, Susana Werner was in a relationship with ex-Brazilian footballer Ronaldo. Later on, she got married to the Brazilian goalkeeper Júlio César, and they are blessed with two children.
