You can pick your friends and your spouse, but you can’t pick the family who comes along. It is important to show effort to your partner family because at the end of the day, your actions is what will create a bond with his family.

Buy a gift: You don’t want to go empty-handed when you see his family. Gift tend to show that your care deeply about them. So take some time out from your schedule, and go gift shopping with your boyfriend. Buy them something they would use or need.

Refrain from PDA: Sit next to your guy, but avoid being PDA in front of them. There is a time and place for everything so don’t flash it in their face.

Shared interest: If you have shared interests, find the opportunity to pursue them together. If you and his parents love cooking make sure you offer to cook with them. This will give you an opportunity to work together and grow closer.
