Their love story:
Atinuke and I met in August 2021 when I went to get drinks for my mum’s burial at her workplace. I needed to get drinks for her burial ceremony so a friend directed me there and told me to ask for Tinuke, that she’ll attend to me well.
At that time, I was still dating my ex, so it wasn’t like I was searching. I got there and asked to see Tinuke, we met, she attended to me and off I went.
So, I kept on going there after the burial to get drinks and at a time, I noticed she was calm and hardly talked, we would exchange pleasantries, and I’d leave.
So, before April, I started having issues in my relationship, my ex then had to relocate and then I started to grow feelings for Atinuke because I noticed she was always nice to me whenever I came around.
I decided to ask for her number one of those days, so as to always get updates about available drinks, she gave it to me and we started to talk lightly, with me always pushing for conversations basically.She isn’t much of a talker both online and offline but she still replied me whenever I tried engaging her.
Her birthday came in April, I offered to take her out but she politely declined, told me she had plans, it broke my heart, but I wasn’t expecting her to be single, to be honest.I remained friends, always went there to get drinks just so I can see her, even when I have no need for those drinks, I still went, I just wanted her to notice and start to like me because I realized I was beginning to really like her person.
In July, she finally agreed to go out with me, it was the first time we’d see eachother outside work as she was always busy with work.It made me feel really good when she agreed to go out with me, we went to the cinema, she was still her calm, sweet self and I must say she smelt really nice, it was a huge turn on for me….I applied more pressure because I loved our outing, after then, she became really nicer and freer with me as well.
As fate would have it, on the 3rd of August, she agreed to be my girlfriend, introduced me to her family on 1st January, 2023. I had a warm reception and on the 12th of April, I proposed to her, she said Yes.
