American rapper Jeezy and his wife Jeannie Mai were said to be on the same page when it has to do with certain things in their marriage.
According to a source, Jeezy and Jeannie Mai had different opinions on certain family values and expectations which led to Jeezy filing for divorce.
In a court document, Jeezy stated that his marriage to Mai, 44, was “irretrievably broken.”
The Grammy nominee, 45, also asked for joint legal custody of their 1-year-old daughter, Monaco.
He also stated that he and his wife have a prenuptial agreement in place.
Fans were shocked to learn about the split, as Mai had just shared a touching video with their toddler celebrating the success of Jeezy’s new memoir.

In an Instagram post, Jeannie Mai captioned: “Your story has always been an inspiration to me, but seeing it in print has left me even more in awe of your strength and wisdom, you invited us into the most intimate corners of your life, where pain and triumph coexist.”
The mom of one continued to praise her husband, writing that she was “endlessly grateful” for his “voice in this world” and “honored” to walk beside her “love.”
However, Jeezy also shared a post of his own, which seemed to hint at the demise of his marriage one day before he filed.
