You are pregnant, not obese! Now that that is settled, let’s look at how to give your wardrobe a total vamp up for your nine months slay period.

Create a pregnancy closet:
Having a pregnancy closet is very important to the fashionable mom-to-be. Getting the right fitting clothes can be stressful while pregnant, you have to comb through your closet looking for something that’s perfect for the day. This challenge is defeated when you have a pregnancy wardrobe. Arrange your clothes in lines of party dresses or outfits, day-to-day wears, clothes that suit all occasions/outfits for emergency outings, feeling blue outfits, the comfortable ones and many more options as you see fit.

Stay true to your pre-baby fashion: This is one mistake pregnant moms make. They completely change their fashion style once they start showing, some immediately they get the news. Comfortable clothes aka maternity wears are not meant to be ugly. They accommodate your bump perfectly than your old clothes would, but you can still get them in the styles and colours you love. Go bold if you love them, be subtle if you adore them, stay true to your fashion.

First trimester heels is a thing: Rock fashionable block heels while in your first trimester. Stilettos might be dangerous while pregnant as they do not give the support that your back needs, but block heels are not. Investing in quality block heels while pregnant is a necessary move towards vamping your pregnancy style. You can still rock your jeans: Rocking jeans while pregnant is not a pregnancy faux-pas so there’s absolutely no need to ditch them. Your former jean size may increase though, so you should go for newer ones but still keep your style. There’s no reason for you to start rocking boot cuts when skinny jeans were your pre-pregnancy thing. You can opt for skinny jeans with wider waist to accommodate your bump, that way, you look fashionable and still comfortable.

Comfortable shoes: Comfortable shoes for pregnant women is a rave, but then how stylish are they? You want to rock ballerina flats but you have to pick them in cool colours and shape. Rather than focusing mainly on the classic ballet flats, you could opt for the pointy toe classic, the open toe, loafers, open side, with straps, the lace up and many others. Ballet flats are perfect with A-line gowns or skirts that are right above your knee, so be daring! You could also opt for cool sneakers in vibrant or cool colours to go with your jeans, leggings, midi body-con gowns or skirts.

Colours And Fabrics: While pregnant, there’s always the urge to dress down or simply go for neutral colours. Opting for neutral colour can be a blessing especially when you have run out of ideas on what to wear, your neutral fashion comes through.

However, do not be afraid to rock bold colours such as green, yellow, red, purple or as many as you like. A red bodycon gown is a sure show stopper regardless of the occasion. You should opt for stylish linen and cotton clothes not only because they allow your skin to breath but because most of them are easy to slip on.
