Mohammed the son of Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi has tied the knot with his bride Aishat Shaiub. Dignitaries were present at the Offa royal wedding.
On Friday, December 1, 2023, the wedding Nikah between Mohammed, son of the Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi; and his bride, Aishat Shaiub, took place at the Imperial Event Centre in Offa, Kwara State.
Many notable personalities graced the Nikah ceremony, including a former Senate President, Bukola Saraki; the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi; the Oniru of Iru Kingdom; Abdulwasiu Lawal; and the Elegushi of Ikate-Elegushi, Saheed Elegushi.
For the nikah, the bride and the groom were dressed for their special day in all-white outfits, which symbolised the purity and freshness of their love, and had them glowing and full of smiles.
In one of the highlights shared online, the bride walked with her father into the venue, as they were serenaded by drummers. Her bridesmaids surrounded her and cheered her on; sharing a heartfelt moment.
The day before the nikah ceremony took place, the couple had celebrated their engagement ceremony, which was indeed a colourful one, as the couple and their guests were dressed in beautiful traditional outfits that showcased the richness of their culture.
The ceremony paved the way for the two families to know one another better as the groom’s relatives exchanged pleasantries with those from the bride’s side.
The newlyweds received prayers from the clerics in attendance, as well as royal blessings from the traditional rulers present.
