6 Problems Associated With Oily Skin And How To Deal With Them

Oily skin is a very common problem. Many people have dry skin, some have sensitive skin, and there are also many people with oily skin.

If you have oily skin, you may struggle with these skin issues on a daily basis due to excessive sebum production. Here are some common problems associated with oily skin:

1. Acne
Excessive sebum production can clog the skin pores, leading to the formation of acne. The excess oil traps dirt, dead skin cells, and bacteria, resulting in blackheads, whiteheads, pimples, and other forms of acne. It happens because bacteria lives and grows on oily areas of your skin which causes acne flare-ups. Keep your face clean by washing it with an anti-acne face wash, twice a day. Also, practice good hygiene and never touch your face with grimy and sweaty hands.

2. A shiny or greasy appearance
Oily skin tends to have a shiny or greasy appearance due to the excess sebum sitting on the skin’s surface. This can be particularly bothersome, especially in the T-zone (forehead, nose, and chin). To combat shiny zones and grimy-looking skin, always keep a facial wipe handy. Simply dab it on the shiny zones to get a fresh and oil-free look.
