Singer Alicia Keys And Swizz Beatz Celebrate 13th Wedding Anniversary

Multi-award-winning producer Swizz Beatz, who recently celebrated his 13th wedding anniversary with wife Alicia Keys, has shared with his millions of followers what he and Keys got up to on their special day.

Taking to social media with a video showing a glimpse of their anniversary celebrations, Swizz Beatz said: “This anniversary, we didn’t spend anything but quality time.”

“No cars, jewellery, nothing flashing, just time,” he continued. “The most important thing to spend. The crazy part is we’re still learning each other and from each other.”

He continued to say: “I hope we find each other every lifetime.”

In the caption to another post, where the couple participates in a couple quiz challenge, Keys wrote: “There are no amount of words that could describe how grateful we are!!! Our life together is crazy/fun/real/beautiful/deep/unique/special!!!”

The couple tied the knot on 31 July 2010 at a private home on the Mediterranean Sea. The couple’s friend Deepak Chopra officiated their nuptials before family and close friends.

At the time, there was controversy surrounding their union, with Keys labeled a homewrecker as Beatz’s divorce from Mashonda Tifrere was only finalized in May of the same year. There was an assumption that the two separated nine months before their split was finalized.

Keys and Beatz share two children, Egypt Daoud Dean and Genesis Ali Dean. They also co-parent Beatz’s children from his marriage to Tifrere, Prince Nair, Kasseem Junior and Nicole.

Speaking about their blended family in an interview with American TV host Michael Strahan, Keys said: “We love each other; I mean, we hang out with each other, we go to dinner together. Our family is one big, beautiful family.”

“We’re doing Thanksgiving and holidays together; we’re doing birthday celebrations together. It is a beautiful partnership. I’m very proud that it’s a real thing and it’s possible.”

But, Tifrere, in the same interview, added that it did not happen overnight.

“It wasn’t easy. It was a rollercoaster ride,” she said.
