Actor-singer Darren Criss and his wife Mia Criss celebrate their 5th wedding anniversary.
On Friday, February 16th, Darren Criss and Mia Criss marked their 5 years of marital bliss.
To commemorate the milestone, the actor, 37, shared a personal post on Instagram and penned down a lengthy note. He wrote:
“Best goddamn day of my life.
I don’t enjoy talking about my personal life publicly. It’s not my style and I try to avoid it wherever I can. But of course, I understand the curiosity of strangers who may be interested, and I can acknowledge the value it has for folks on the outside who, as a result of following what I do professionally, may want to know more about what’s happening on the inside.
On top of this- though she doesn’t need it and would NEVER ask for it- I’m also blithely aware of how much it would mean to my wife to declare how I feel about her to a wider world beyond our friends and family.
And while I normally dislike sharing personal matters, I do happen to like HER enough to want to give her that.
So if I’m gonna to do it, I might as well be as clear as possible:
It’s not that we’ve been married for 5 years so much as it’s been 5 years since not only one of the best decisions I ever made, but 5 years since the greatest party I ever threw to celebrate the long lasting partnership that led to that decision.
And so on the anniversary of that decision, I’d like to state how deeply grateful I am for Mia and all the wonderful things she’s given my life. It just keeps getting better and better, as I find myself loving her more and more every day.
This is just ONE of thousands of photos that even in their totality couldn’t quite totally grasp the fun, batshit bananas crazy wacky wedding we had- much less capture the full spectrum of wild adventure that is the magical rocknroll life we’ve built together.

Mia and Darren Criss first met in 2006 through mutual friends and began dating in 2010. They own a piano bar in Hollywood together and welcomed their first child, in April 2022. In December 2023, the couple announced they are expecting their second baby.
