HIV and STDs: You should check for the possibility of lifelong infections such as HIV, Hepatitis B and C and Herpes, as well as curable ones like gonorrhoea, syphilis, bacterial vaginosis, yeast infections, Chlamydia, etc.

Fertility Test: Consider doing fertility tests to avoid surprises in the future and some of the emotional stress associated with it. You should test for both you and your partner because men are liable for up to half of all infertility cases.
Genotype: Sickle Cell disease is associated with a defect in the red blood cells and is a lifelong one; often resulting in serious illness. You can often pass sickle cell to your children.
Genetic or chronic medical conditions testing: Early testing allows couples seek medical care before the medical conditions gets to its terminal stage. Before marriage, both the partners should have their genetic tests done to know if they have inherited or had the potential to inherit any illness.
Ovary Test: Women who marry late in their lives should get an ovary test done. Women in their 30s often experience a decrease in the production of egg cells which can make family planning a difficult process.
Blood Disorder Test: Women should get tested for blood disorders to know if they are victims of blood haemophilia or thalassemia because it can affect their future kids and also the marriage.
