Wedding costs can quickly grow and many people do not have a realistic budget when it comes to a wedding. A couple average spends £10,000 on their big day, which is ridiculous and very expensive.

Below is how to plan a cheap wedding.

Plan Early: The more time you give yourself to plan, the easier it becomes to identify bargains. Since so many wedding features are expensive, investing more time yourself can put those costs down quickly.

Wedding Venue: A affordable wedding venue is usually small hotels, pub wedding venues and church or village halls will be the best places find a bargain. You could always add wedding décor to make it simply beautiful.

The dress: Brides spend thousand and thousand pounds on a wedding dress that they’re going to on wear once. You can find a dress anywhere for cheap, online have thousands of amazing dresses for cheap. You could even have a look in a charity shop.

See if anyone in your family or among your close friends has their old dress and see if you can borrow it.

Wedding Planner: Instead of hiring a wedding planner which can be very expensive, do everything by yourself and with the help from friends and family. Anyone is capable planning their on wedding and this is great because it comes with no cost.

Ask for wedding help instead of wedding gifts: Your wedding guests for your wedding could be able to help with photography, provide the musician, tend the bar at the reception, or do any of the other things a wedding entails.

It is important that you ask your friends and family you’re inviting to the wedding and ask them if they would be willing to provide help at the wedding instead of a gift. A little help can easily save your money and cost of the wedding.

Cake: You could always buy a small cake at the grocery stores. There is many beautiful cakes in stores. If you can make a cake, or someone in your family member can make it, the ingredients can cost as little as £20 for 50 guests.

Minimal flowers: Wedding flowers can be costly. If you and your partner stick to a simple bouquet and simple flowers at the wedding, then reuse them as part of the reception it would be great and cheap.

Cut your floral expenses by simply having minimal arrangements, rely heavy and think of seasonal flowers, and use lots of greenery because it is cheap.

Bridal Jewellery and accessories: There are stunning bridal jewellery options on the high street and online, where you can get it for cheap. No one can tell the difference if it is cheap or not.

You could always also ask friends or relatives who might lend you their jewellery for the day.

Hair and Makeup: If you have a friend or family that is great at hair and makeup then don’t be afraid to ask for some help or advice when it comes to creating your bridal look. You can buy or use your own foundation and makeup products.
