    Listen: Do not assume you know what loved ones need during this time. The most important thing you can do is to listen to them. Allow them to vent or cry to you.

    Be open to talking about the miscarriage: Let your loved ones decide when and how they want to talk about their loss, but be ready to go there when they are.

    Send gifts: Send some hand scrub, a short book of encouragement or a candle. This will show you care about them and how thoughtful you are.

    Offer to help out with physical needs: Grief can drain people of their energy. It’s nice to offer to help with whatever they need. Help with meals by sending a gift card for a delivery service or making and dropping a meal. Offer to provide childcare or pick their kids up from school.
